USAISEC's Transmission Systems Directorate's mission is to provide critical enabling satellite, terrestrial, wide-area-networking, and integration services to support global power projection and critical command and control communications in support of Army, Department of Defense (DoD), Combatant Commanders, and Coalition Forces missions and requirements.

Engineering focus areas:

  • Strategic Military and Commercial Satellite Communications
  • Technical Control Facilities (TCFs) & C4ISR Facilities
  • Wide Area Networks
  • Long Haul Transmissions and RF Engineering
  • Perimeter Defense and Transmission Security
  • Intelligence and Electronic Warfare (IEW) Information Systems
  • Land Mobile Radio Communications
  • Lightning/Grounding/Bonding/Shielding (LGBS)

Strategic military and commercial satellite communications:

  • Provide DSCS Teleport engineering and implementation support to PM SCS
  • Provide engineering for DISA's Direct Communications Link (DCL) & Government to Government Communications Link (GGCL)
  • Provided C2 engineering support for the Missle Defense Agency's Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD)

Technical control facilities/wide area networks:

  • EFI&T TCFs in support of OEF and OIF
  • Engineered DWDM/MPLS WAN for USAREUR
  • Provide LGBS studies, analysis, and upgrades for C4ISR Facilities worldwide

Trojan/IEW information systems:

  • TROJAN SPIRIT Transformation engineering support
  • TROJAN Network Engineering
  • TROJAN Satellite Communications link activation support

Land mobile radio (LMR) communications:

  • Engineering and Integrating LMR P.25 Interoperability
  • EFI&T full performance Trunked Radio Solutions
